Finlays Colombo is a global leader in supplying tea and botanical solutions to beverage brands worldwide. With over 130 years of presence in Sri Lanka, Finlays Colombo specialises in crafting unique Ceylon Tea products for global markets. Established in Scotland in 1750, Finlays opened a branch in Sri Lanka in 1893. Finlays Colombo Limited is a subsidiary of James Finlay Limited, UK, which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of John Swire & Sons Limited, UK.
Finlays Colombo’s state-of-the-art packing facility produces tea in customised packaging using automated blending and modern tea bagging equipment. Its Green Tea manufacturing facility produces and exports Japanese style and Chinese style Green Teas, popular amongst health conscious consumers. Additionally, the Finlays Tea Warehousing and Logistics complex, with advanced material handling and intelligent warehouse management systems, offers logistic services for third party clients.
Finlays’ expert Tea Tasters select the finest teas and customise blends to meet discerning consumer needs. Our teas, enjoyed by millions, are sold across the globe from Australia to the USA. Finlays’ in-house Analytical Laboratory carries out tests according to international standards or otherwise validated methods to meet customer requirements on quality parameters. Our laboratory activities comply with ISO 17025:2017 and the Sri Lanka Accreditation Board standards.
